Monumen Nasional (National Monument)

The Monumen Nasional (or Tugu Monas, the National Monument tower) is a 450 ft (137 m) tall tower in Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia’s independence.

It is topped by a 14.5 ton bronze flame, which is plated in 35 kg (1,125 troy ounces) of gold.

The design of the monument is meant to combine elements of masculine and feminine. The design based on Lingga-Yoni, the symbol of fertility in ancient Hindu-Javanese belief.

This golden flame is intended to symbolize the spirit of freedom and the struggle for independence of Indonesian people.

Famous Person Kenshi Yonezu Kenshi Yonezu is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and illustrator who began releasing music under the stage name "Hachi" in 2009. In 2012 he debuted under his real name, releasing music with his own voice. They sold 3.6 million physical copies and more than 7 million digital copies in Japan. Kenshi Yonezu was born on March 10, 1991, in the rural part of Tokushima, Japan. As a child, Yonezu found it difficult to communicate with other people, especially his father.
