Structure of News Item






Well hello everyone, my name is Nathan and you're watching Disney Channel.  Today we're gonna talk about News item. 
So, what is the meaning of News item?


News item is a text that informs the reader about events of the day.  You can find news item text in newspapers. Well. So you already know the definition of news item text. Now, we're talking about the structure


1. Main events/Newsworthy event

First, we have main event or newsworthy event. Main event is the main news. It's a part that tells a summary of an event or important events that happens.

Here's the example from my previous news :

   

   "DKI Kadishub Syafin Liputo said that even-odd restrictions were to limit the movement of residents. Further policies will be taken if there is no decrease in citizen movements. It can be all day Odd-Even or applying restrictions to the motorbike."


2. Background Event/Elaboration

Next, we have background event or elaboration (sounds cool right? Even though you don't know bout the meaning) Background event is usually a supporting idea for the main event.  Elaboration itself can also be the cause of the main events. Here's the example :


" "The current odd-even policy applies only to four-wheeled vehicles, not yet two-wheeled vehicles. In this case, background event/ elaboration contains the cause of the main event.


3. Source

Like the name, source contains comments by participants , witnesses to and authorities expert on the event. In my case, I get this news from detik.com and put the source below the news so people can find out are the source of this news are credible or not.

 Famous Person Kenshi Yonezu     Kenshi Yonezu is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and illustrator who began releasing  music under the stage name "Hachi" in 2009. In 2012 he debuted under his real name, releasing music with his own voice. They sold 3.6 million physical copies and more than 7 million digital copies in Japan. Kenshi Yonezu was born on March 10, 1991, in the rural part of Tokushima, Japan. As a child, Yonezu found it difficult to communicate with other people, especially his father.
