Pemprov DKI Open the Possibility
of Odd-Even Plate Policy also
Apply to Motorbikes
Reported from Detik.com, Pemprov DKI said they would put into effect of Even-Odd Plate Policy starting 3 August. And there's a possibility that this policy will also apply to the motorbike.
DKI Kadishub Syafin Liputo said that even-odd restrictions were to limit the movement of residents. Further policies will be taken if there is no decrease in citizen movements. It can be all day Odd-Even or applying restrictions to the motorbike.
"The current odd-even policy applies only to four-wheeled vehicles, not yet two-wheeled vehicles. But I will say if there is an analysis later, it turns out that the mobility of citizens has not changed with the conditions in the implementation period of the transitional PSBB. "The odd-even application all day or there is also an additional application for all motorized vehicles," said Syafrin in the HI Roundabout area, Central Jakarta.
As we know, the odd-even policy that will take effect starting tomorrow will be from 06.00-10.00 WIB and 16.00-21.00 WIB on 25 roads. Syafrin said the Odd-Even policy was to reduce the mobility of citizens.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government urges residents to adjust their work schedules in an odd number of times. For example, residents who have odd-numbered vehicles can work at home when the even date.
